Jackson Ball
Jackson Ball is a Radar Software Engineer at LeoLabs, where he develops and automates infrastructure powering the company’s global network of space radars. With over a decade of experience in Linux systems, Python automation, and radar operations, Jackson bridges the gap between mission-critical hardware and cloud-scale telemetry systems.
Before joining LeoLabs’ software team, he led radar operations across multiple LeoLabs sites, building automation pipelines with Ansible, Telegraf, and InfluxDB to manage thousands of sensors and servers worldwide. His background in space domain awareness spans work on both LeoLabs’ LEO radar network and prior roles maintaining US and Australian Defence Space Surveillance systems, including the C-Band Space Surveillance Radar and Space Surveillance Telescope.
Jackson’s work focuses on delivering high-reliability data pipelines, real-time monitoring, and scalable telemetry architectures that transform raw radar data into actionable intelligence — keeping satellites safe and space sustainable.
