InfluxDB Cloud 1 pricing

InfluxDB Cloud 1 offers a Managed Database as a Service using all the components of the InfluxData platform. Under this service offering, subscribers can harness the power of all the Telegraf plugins, InfluxDB Enterprise, Chronograf, and Kapacitor. (If you are looking for InfluxDB Cloud 2.0 pricing instead, please go here).

InfluxDB Cloud comes in a variety of configurations that can be purchased online, or for custom configurations please contact sales.

Telegraf – all Telegraf plugins can be deployed with your InfluxDB Cloud service at no additional fee.

InfluxDB is automatically backed up every hour and always keeps three days of backups available to subscribers. InfluxDB Cloud also includes the InfluxDB cluster instances to support service availability and can be deployed in any of the following data centers:

  • US-East-1 (Virginia, United States)
  • US-East-2 (Ohio, United States)
  • US-West 2 (Oregon, United States)
  • US-West 1 (California, United States)
  • CA-Central-1 (Toronto, Canada)
  • EU-West-1 (Dublin, Ireland)
  • EU-Central-1 (Frankfurt, Germany)
  • AP-South-1 (Mumbai, India)
  • AP-Southeast-1 (Singapore)
  • AP-Southeast-2 (Sydney, Australia)

Chronograf – All subscriptions contain Chronograf—a user interface that provides administrative capabilities for creating databases, setting up data retention policies and defining users and access controls. It provides a means for writing data into the database, looking into your data with a data exploration tool, a simple-to-use query builder, and dashboarding capabilities. Further, you can create up to 25 alert definitions with Kapacitor at no additional charge, which can be sent through a wide variety of alert services such as HipChat, Slack, PagerDuty, OpsGenie, and more. As part of InfluxDB Cloud, you are allowed to invite up to 10 users (including the account owner) to access your subscription(s) via Chronograf. If you have multiple subscriptions, the user access can be further refined within the instance of Chronograf associated with each subscription. If you need more than 10 users to access your subscriptions, please contact support to discuss pricing and activation.

Kapacitor – If you need to define more than the pre-specified number of alerts, you can purchase an add-on to your Kapacitor instance to take advantage of the full power of the InfluxData platform.

Hobby Plan

The Hobby Plan represents a single instance of InfluxDB and is intended as a non-production, low-cost way to explore the functionality of the database. Because it is a single instance of the database, it is not highly available. All other features in InfluxDB Cloud —use of Telegraf, automatic backups, Chronograf, and the 25 alert definitions with Kapacitor are also included in the Hobby Plan.

Cluster plans

InfluxDB Cloud provides production-ready InfluxDB clusters hosted on AWS. The Standard I Plan is the only plan offered as a 14-day FREE trial which automatically converts to a paid plan. Following the trial, you may upgrade your instance to a larger instance based on your workload—or you can immediately purchase a larger instance. Below is a recommended set of boundaries to help you determine which plan will fit with your use case. Of course, you may cancel your subscription at any time.

Usage-based storage

Each subscription comes with a default amount of storage. If you exceed the amount of effective storage allocated to your plan, additional storage will automatically be added to your subscription.

Additional storage blocks are $20/month which adds an additional 16GB of effective storage to your plan.

Kapacitor Plans

Kapacitor, the real-time streaming data processing engine for time series data, is available with InfluxDB Cloud. Included in the base plan is the ability to create 25 alert definitions. Any additional alerts, anomaly detections, and ETL jobs to be run can be done with an upgraded instance of Kapacitor. Here are the prices for Kapacitor.

Pricing FAQs

Which configuration is right for me?
In general, memory is important for use cases with many unique series, while storage is important based on the total volume of data (regardless of the number of series).

If you’re unsure what size to pick or need more guidance please contact sales.

What should I do if I’m already a subscriber of InfluxDB Cloud on Digital Ocean?
As we originally announced in April 2016, our support for InfluxDB Cloud on Digital Ocean has ended. We have extended the sunset date to October 31st, 2017. Please make sure you either upgrade your instance to InfluxDB Cloud or migrate your data off of this instance before this date.

For those of you who wish to transition to a new subscription on AWS, we have secured a set of $300 one-time credits that we can apply towards your new subscription for InfluxDB Cloud — these are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This should help offset the price increase between your current subscription and the new plans offered on AWS. Special thanks to our partner, Amazon, for making this possible!

Please contact [email protected] to discuss migration options and how to obtain these credits and migrate your instance.
