Customer Use Cases of InfluxData and Microsoft

To paint a fuller picture of how InfluxDB pairs with Microsoft, see how some of our customers have used InfluxData and Azure for DevOps, IoT, and Real-Time Analytics use cases.

“We spent a lot of time understanding the different technologies. And we ended up choosing Microsoft Azure as our primary platform, and the reason for that is really, at that time, we felt that it was more enterprise-ready than the competitors, and we like our choice.”

eSmart Systems

eSmart Systems use MS Azure and InfluxDB Enterprise to gather vast amounts of data from sensors and analyze it using advanced prediction and optimization models. This results in a completely new way of visualizing data, while helping their customers make decisions faster to save resources and costs.

Azure Monitor

Azure Monitor is a platform that allows users to collect performance and utilization metrics from Azure resources. It comes with a portal for dashboarding and a mechanism to set up alerts. The inclusion of Telegraf plugins is significant since it expands the set of metrics that can be collected and stored in Azure Monitor. Microsoft calls these “Custom Metrics” and they are essentially metrics specific to the application or workload running in Azure.

Key Resources

The inclusion of the Telegraf plugins allows for a more diverse set of metrics and event data to be collected and stored in Azure Monitor.
