Kapacitor is an open source data processing framework that makes it easy to create alerts, run ETL jobs and detect anomalies. The Kapacitor and Slack integration allows teams to:

  • Set up automatic escalation of alerts
  • Schedule on-call duty for IT, Ops, or dev teams

To allow Kapacitor to post to Slack, go here and create a new incoming webhook and place the generated URL in the ‘slack’ configuration section.
