Introduction to Flux and Functional Data Scripting

Flux is a functional data scripting language designed to accommodate a wide array of data processing and analytical operations. We will explain the origins of Flux, walk through key Flux concepts and outline basic Flux syntax.

Scott Anderson is a Product Manager at InfluxData, leading product management for the company’s core database. Before transitioning into product management, he served as the Technical Lead for InfluxData’s Docs team, where he specialized in translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible documentation.
With a formal background in graphic design and a self-taught expertise in coding, Scott combines principles from both disciplines to inform his approach to product development, software documentation, and information design.
