One Query, Every System: Real-Time Root Cause Analysis for AI-Scale Data Centers
Session Date: Oct 14, 2026
Time: 8:00am (PT) | 3:00pm (GMT) | 4:00pm (BST)
Data centers are getting bigger, denser, and more distributed as AI demand grows, and the data that runs them hasn’t kept pace. Cooling, power, and IT asset data still live in separate systems: Building Management, Electrical Power Monitoring, and DCIM. That split slows root cause analysis to a manual, cross-system hunt, and turns every billing dispute into a manual reconstruction instead of a query.
InfluxData Sr. Solution Engineer Ian Clark shows how to unify that telemetry into one real-time layer, with DCIM asset context tagged in so every reading ties back to the right rack, customer, and site. Then he demos it live on a full-scale, multi-facility dashboard: node-level drill-down, live data flow, and InfluxDB’s MCP server driving real-time alert triage.
What we’ll cover:
- Live technical demo: We’ll simulate a multi-site industrial deployment—temperature, pressure, vibration sensors streaming using InfluxDB, Python Processing Engine and Grafana.
- Architectural patterns for historian augmentation or replacement
- Direct comparison of legacy historian capabilities vs. InfluxDB 3 for high-frequency industrial workloads
