A new maintenance release for InfluxDB Enterprise is available now.

This release of InfluxDB Enterprise on the 1.8 line builds upon the InfluxDB OSS 1.8.4 release. As a part of our normal quality checks, InfluxDB Enterprise 1.8.3 did not pass and as a result, we did not release it.

For the InfluxDB Enterprise 1.8.4 release, a number of Enterprise specific issues and improvements have been delivered. These include:

  • Update your InfluxDB Enterprise license without restarting nodes
    • We've added the ability to reload the InfluxDB Enterprise license file (or license key) from the underlying configuration settings file without requiring a restart of your data nodes. Instructions are available about how to trigger this functionality.
  • Bug fixes
    • We fixed some issues related to influxd-ctl show shards where the output was incorrect or corrupted when using the verbose (-v) flag.
    • Another defect was addressed which now wraps the TCP mux–based HTTP server with a function that allows for custom HTTP headers to pass through properly.

For our InfluxDB Enterprise customers, log in to the InfluxDB Enterprise portal and download the binaries from there. If you need more help, contact support.

For our community, if you find issues or have questions, please join our InfluxDB Community Slack, post them in our InfluxDB GitHub Repo or our Community Site and we will take a look.
