Company Names Former Apcera and VMware Sales Executive Jay Stephenson as VP of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations

SAN FRANCISCO - Jan. 11, 2018 - InfluxData, the modern Open Source Platform built specifically for metrics, events and other time series data that empowers developers to build next-generation monitoring, analytics and IoT applications, today announced it has named former Apcera and VMware sales executive Jay Stephenson as its new VP of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations. In this role, Mr. Stephenson will be responsible for scaling sales and operations to meet rapidly growing global demand for InfluxData’s products.

Mr. Stephenson joins InfluxData with more than 15 years of sales executive experience, and a strong background in Monitoring, DevOps, and Systems Management. He previously served as Senior VP of Global Sales and Business Development at Apcera, an early player in the container management space (which was recently acquired by Ericsson). Before Apcera, Mr. Stephenson served as VP Sales for the Americas at VMware where he focused on Cloud Automation and Management. He has also held Sales Executive positions at Hewlett Packard and Computer Associates. Mr. Stephenson earned a BA degree from San Diego State University.
