The InfluxData Blog Challenge
By David G. Simmons / Aug 11, 2017 / Community, Developer, IoT, InfluxDB
At the end of my first week here, fellow twitter user Michael Greene posted the following tweet:
I couldn’t resist the opportunity, so I added some incentive and offered to send him some swag if he completed the challenge. He got a lot of us to jump on the swag-wagon and encourage him:
He was given a week, but given the challenge, and the incentives, he did not waste any time! In fact, he knocked it out of the park! He delivered the blog posts in just a weekend: Trending and Analyzing SmartThings Devices parts 1, 2, 3 & 4. Those are just 4 parts of a 7 (now 8) part blog series he did over the weekend. As a fairly prodigious blogger myself, I was duly impressed.
Living up to my end of the bargain, there’s a box of InfluxData swag on its way! (Note: in an odd twist, it turns out that Mr. Greene lives about 1/2 mile from me, so I’ll be hand-delivering his swag later this week!)
A Challenge to you
So now I’m going to challenge the rest of you bloggers and makers and IoT tinkerers out there. Do something cool with the TICK Stack (Telegraf, InfluxDB, Chronograf and Kapacitor) and I’ll swag you too! Tag me on Twitter to tell me what you’re going to do, then let me know when you’ve done it, and we’ll get you some swag! How easy is that?
In addition, I’ll post you on our Built With InfluxDB page and make you famous.
