Fibaro System Monitoring

Use This InfluxDB Integration for Free

FIBARO offers top home automation products to residential customers to manage smart home devices. The FIBARO system, known as Home Center, consists of a hub and accessory devices and can be controlled and monitored via smartphone, tablet or computer.

Why use the Fibaro Telegraf Plugin?

The Fibaro Telegraf Plugin collects metrics from your home smart devices that are managed by a Fibaro system. Collecting these metrics will allow you to build a comprehensive monitoring solution that can include metrics from all of your smart devices as well as other time series data like weather forecast. This comprehensive view can help you see how your home is doing in real time as well as make predictions.

How to monitor Fibaro using the Telegraf Plugin

HTTP calls to the Fibaro controller API gather values of hooked devices. Those values could be true (1) or false (0) for switches, percentage for dimmers, temperature, etc.

Some of the important Fibaro metrics that you should proactively monitor include:

  • deviceId (device id)

  • type (device type)
  • batteryLevel (float, when available from device)
