BadShark success story

BadShark is a full-stack software design and development company in Barcelona, Spain. Their focus is on building simple, distributed and scalable applications and services, including analytics and monitoring.

BadShark has been using InfluxData since the beta releases. They use InfluxDB as a Google Analytics, New Relic and Graphite replacement to manage their distributed messaging systems spanning hundreds of machines. They like InfluxDB because there are no dependencies, they can deploy it with Ansible in 30 seconds, it is easy to maintain, and has no performance impact to their applications — which is key as they use it via UDP.

Technologies Used

“InfluxDB is a foundation of any software built at BadShark. We build custom distributed messaging/email systems, and any SaaS we tried simply couldn’t handle the throughput. InfluxDB replaced any metrics/analytics/logging systems we are using, making it the first choice in software instrumentation.”

- Marco Lisci, Distributed Systems Engineer, BadShark
